Description
The Standard First Aid course (including CPR-C) is a 2-day course. It covers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements (medical professionals, law enforcement, lifeguards, firefighters, labor and trades professionals, etc.) or for anyone who wants to be prepared to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies and non-life threatening injuries in their everyday life.
Certification Granted:
- 3-year certification in Standard First Aid with CPR level C with AED training – additional charge for CPR-C/HCP upgrade (+ $10)
Course Content:
- Principles and legal implications of first aid
- Caring for conscious and unconscious victims
- CPR and AED usage on adults, children and infants
- Choking procedure for adults, children and infants
- Respiratory emergencies
- Circulatory emergencies
- Sudden medical emergencies
- Bone, joint, and spinal injuries
- Environmental emergencies and injuries
- Basic wound and burn care
Requirements:
- Practical evaluation of course content
- Completion of a 50 multiple choice question test
- 100% attendance
